Wisdom conference at Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden, Dec 5th 2016

The purpose of the meeting is to highlight recent research on wisdom to a broad audience including both scientists and practitioners, and provide a forum for discussion on further wisdom research, including how practical wisdom can be enhanced in society at large. In addition to a series of multidisciplinary presentations, we hope to engage participants in interactive dialogues that explore new approaches to the study and application of wisdom.

The group of attendees will likely be on the order of 300 people with diverse backgrounds and interests ranging across Psychology, Medicine, Care, Neuroscience, Economics, Education, Music, Dance, Philosophy, Sociology, Journalism, Politics and Business. The majority of the conference will be conducted in Swedish.

We aim to gather researchers for collaborative efforts on joint applications for multidisciplinary research projects on wisdom, inspired by e.g. the Center for Practical Wisdom at University of Chicago.

Location and Schedule: The meeting will begin at 9:00 am Monday morning Dec 5th at Karolinska Institutet, Berzelius lab, Sal A, and will end at 4:30 PM.
