Excerpt: In this chapter I will first present my current interpretation of the essential conceptual ideas chracterising SocioDynamic counselling. This will be followed by a description of the key starting points for understanding SocioDynamic counselling strategies. In the final practical section I will illustrate how the two counselling strategies, dialogic listening and life space mapping, can be trained and practised. This section will also include examples of employment counsellors from the Finnish Public Employment Service context who have used SocioDynamic methods in their clietnt work.
