    How do we develop Wisdom?

What is wisdom, that we'd teach it? And if we know, how do we teach it?  Sternberg's got a model, proposing layering on an explicit discussion of the wisdom of the decisions and models we encounter in our learning.  Is that sufficient?

In a session I convened with people I consider wise, the answers ranged from 'models by good people' to 'wisdom can't be taught'.  I believe it certainly can be fostered, and the world would be a better place if we did, so I keep looking...

If you are considering school level education, in the UK the explicit teaching of how to become wiser would fall somewhere between Thinking Skills and PHSE:

Douglas, thanks for those pointers, found some really interesting and valuable resources.  I particularly liked this about how to become wise:

    1. By exposing ourselves to wisdom-fostering INFLUENCES, and

    2. by energetically dedicating ourselves to helpful PRACTICES. That is, we intentionally practice, with effort, the behaviors and attitudes that we someday hope to become effortless expressions of our deepest, truest selves.

     Thanks again!

What is astuteness, that we'd show it? Furthermore, on the off chance that we know, how would we show it? Sternberg has a model, proposing layering on an unequivocal discourse of the intelligence of the choices and models we experience in our learning. Buy Essay-Groovyessays Is that adequate? In a session I assembled with individuals I consider insightful, the appropriate responses extended from 'models by great individuals' to 'knowledge can't be instructed'. I trust it positively can be cultivated, and the world would be a superior place in the event that we did, so I continue looking...
