Doug Blomberg is Associate Professor of Philosophy of Education at the Institute for Christian Studies, Toronto. After completing a PhD on the implications of a Christian theory of knowledge for curriculum, Doug worked at Mount Evelyn Christian School from 1977 to 1991, as a teacher, administrator and curriculum consultant. He was also Principal of the (now National) Institute for Christian Education from its inception in 1978 until 1998. In 1990 he was elected a Fellow of the Australian College of Education.

Doug co-authored and edited A vision with a task: Christian schooling for responsive discipleship (Baker, 1993), and is currently working on a sequel with the team that wrote that book, as well as being engaged in a project on theories of learning. Wisdom and curriculum: Christian schooling after postmodernity, was published by Dordt Press in 2007.
